Day
Eleven - Fish, Chips, and Film
We did some light shopping
in the morning before catching the RER to
the train
station. We were on our way back to London for the final stage
of the trip.
Tubing to Hyde Park, we located the hotel, which was a rather large
disappointment -- more on that later -- then set out for dinner at
the Hog in the Pound, enjoying some traditional fish 'n chips and
some Magners cider
over ice. While not my style of food, I very much enjoyed the look
and feel of the pub and it was good to try a local favorite.
After all the travel in recent days, we thought a quieter night was
in order, so we decided to see a film.

The
Simpsons Movie at the Vue |
We visited the Vue
Cinema in Leicester Square and purchased tickets to The
Simpsons Movie. It was an absolutely fabulous adaptation and I could
not have enjoyed it more. If
you have not seen the film yet, drop everything and go. Now.
After the film, we stopped off at The Crooked Surgeon for a pint of
Hoegaarden, then wandered about
a bit, before Fai finished the evening with a bite of cheescake.
